An In-Depth Guide to Awakening Her in Business and Life

WHOM, WHY & WHAT

Awaken the Untamed Power Within

The Wild Woman archetype represents the untamed, instinctual self that exists within every woman. She is raw, intuitive, creative, and fiercely authentic. Awakening her is not a single moment—it is a journey that calls for deep exploration, courage, and surrender. This initiation honors the Wild Woman by guiding you through the steps to reconnect with her essence and awaken her power in your life and business.

HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE

Follow the chapters in sequence or choose the areas that resonate most with where you are right now. Each practice and ritual offers a path to reconnect with your instincts and align your personal and professional life with your wild, soulful essence.

"Luxury is not found in the glitter of what we acquire, but in the rare grace of knowing ourselves fully, living with a freedom untouched by comparison or the approval of others. This is the wealth that cannot be taken or diminished."

- Rianne Hottinga

NAVIGATING LOGIC AND INTUITION

Logic often leads the way in business decisions, but intuition provides a deeper connection to your unique vision. Balancing both allows for decisions that are not only sound but also aligned.

Key triggers:

  • Relying predominantly on logic to make decisions, leaving intuition unconsidered.

  • Feeling disconnected from your inner guidance or “gut feelings.”

  • Struggling to make decisions because logic and intuition seem to conflict.

  • Experiencing indecision or second-guessing due to lack of balance between both.

Exercise: The Head-Heart Alignment Test

  • Identify a personal or business decision you’re facing.

  • Write down the logical pros and cons (head).

  • Sit quietly, close your eyes, and envision each option. How does your body feel (heart)?

  • Reflect on how you can honor both perspectives in your decision-making.

THE DUALITY OF AMBITION AND REST

Entrepreneurs thrive on ambition, yet rest is the foundation for sustainable success. The same drive that propels your business forward can lead to burnout if rest isn’t prioritized.

Key triggers:

  • Feeling like you need to constantly push forward and work hard to achieve success.

  • Struggling with guilt when taking time to rest or recharge.

  • Experiencing burnout or exhaustion due to lack of rest.

  • Believing that resting equals being unproductive or falling behind.

Exercise: Your Energy Audit

  • Reflect on a time when you felt most energized and aligned. What role did rest play?

  • Write down your current habits around work and rest. Are they serving your energy and creativity?

  • Commit to one intentional action to honor rest, whether it’s a daily pause, scheduling time off, or redefining success to include well-being.

CONTROL AND SURRENDER

In both life and business, knowing when to take control and when to surrender is essential. Control brings focus and discipline, but surrender opens the door to unexpected opportunities and growth.

Key triggers:

  • Feeling the constant need to control outcomes, even when things are beyond your influence.

  • Struggling with the idea of letting go or trusting others to take the lead.

  • Experiencing frustration or burnout from trying to manage every aspect of your life and business.

  • Difficulty in accepting uncertainty and allowing things to unfold naturally.

Exercise: Circle of Influence

  • Write down areas of your life and business where you feel the need to control.

  • Divide them into two categories: What I Can Influence and What I Need to Release.

  • Practice releasing one item from the “release” category, and affirm: “I trust that the process will unfold as it should.”

BALANCING INDEPENDENCE AND CONNECTION

Entrepreneurial women often face the duality of cherishing independence while craving meaningful connection. In business, this can mirror the tension between autonomy and collaboration.

Key triggers:

  • Feeling isolated from relying too heavily on your independence.

  • Difficulty asking for help or collaborating, even when it could lighten your load.

  • Experiencing guilt for prioritizing connection over work or vice versa.

  • Struggling to delegate tasks in your business or trust others with responsibilities.

  • Craving deeper relationships but feeling unsure how to foster them without losing autonomy.

Exercise: Relationship Reflection

  • Reflect on how you balance independence and connection in your personal life.

    • Do you set boundaries, or do you find yourself overextending for others?

  • Consider how this dynamic shows up in your business:

    • Are you delegating effectively or taking on too much?

  • Write down one action to strengthen both your independence and your connections this week.

CONFIDENCE AND VULNERABILITY

Confidence builds trust and authority, while vulnerability fosters authenticity and connection. Both are essential for strong leadership and fulfilling relationships.

Key triggers:

  • Fear of appearing weak or unqualified by showing vulnerability.

  • Feeling pressure to always exude confidence, even when unsure or struggling.

  • Difficulty sharing personal struggles or challenges with others.

  • Worry about losing authority or respect by revealing emotional moments.

  • A desire to connect authentically but uncertainty about how much to share.

Exercise: Sharing Your Duality

  • Think of a time you overcame a challenge in your business or personal life.

  • Write a short story highlighting both your strengths and the vulnerable moments you faced.

  • Share this story—whether with your audience, a trusted colleague, or a loved one—to embrace both sides of your experience.

EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION

Just as nature cycles through growth and rest, your business and personal life thrive in rhythms of expansion (risk-taking, growth) and contraction (reflection, consolidation).

Key triggers:

  • Feeling stuck in a constant state of growth without time for reflection or rest.

  • Guilt or anxiety during periods of contraction, viewing them as setbacks.

  • Struggling to recognize the value of slowing down to consolidate gains.

  • Fear of losing momentum if you step back to reflect or pause.

  • Overextending yourself during expansion without considering long-term sustainability.

Exercise: Mapping Your Cycles

  • Reflect on the past year. Identify moments of expansion and contraction in your life and business.

  • What lessons did each phase bring?

  • Plan your next steps with awareness of where you are now, leaving room for both action and introspection.

LIGHT AND SHADOW IN LEADERSHIP

Your greatest strengths come with shadow sides. A visionary mindset may lead to neglecting details, while empathy can make boundary-setting difficult. Embracing these dualities helps you lead authentically.

Key Triggers:

  • Difficulty acknowledging your shadow qualities for fear of judgment or self-doubt.

  • Struggling to balance your strengths with the unintended consequences they bring (e.g., empathy leading to overextending yourself).

  • Feeling stuck in patterns of over-perfectionism or impatience that limit growth.

  • Fear that addressing your shadow aspects might undermine your confidence or authority.

  • Challenges in setting boundaries or staying grounded when your strengths become overextended.

Exercise: Shadow Integration

  • Identify one shadow quality in your leadership or personal life (e.g., perfectionism, impatience).

  • Reflect on how it protects or serves you. For example, perfectionism might stem from a deep commitment to excellence.

  • Write one way you can honor the value behind this quality while reducing its negative impact.

EMOTIONAL DUALITY IN LIFE AND BUSINESS

Entrepreneurs often feel contrasting emotions—joy and guilt, pride and doubt—both in personal milestones and business achievements. These dualities are a powerful source of growth.

Key Triggers:

  • Feeling torn between personal achievements and the guilt of neglecting personal life or family.

  • Difficulty reconciling feelings of pride and doubt after major business wins.

  • Struggling with the emotional toll of balancing work success and emotional well-being.

  • Fear of being judged for showing vulnerability or expressing emotions that contradict your success.

  • Uncertainty about how to honor conflicting emotions without feeling overwhelmed or off-balance.

  • Internal conflict about the trade-offs between personal life and professional growth.

Exercise: Emotional Integration

  • Reflect on a recent moment where you experienced conflicting emotions (e.g., pride in a business win and guilt for time away from family).

  • Write about what each emotion taught you about your values and priorities.

  • Consider how honoring these emotions could inform your next steps in life and business.
