In 2017 one of the companies of Gerben - Tinker Travel B.V. - went bankrupt after an investment round. As a director and co-founder, he has the necessary personal experience of what a bankruptcy does to you as an entrepreneur and what all comes your way: media, death threats, conflicts with creditors, investors & employees, lawsuits etc.

Gerben experienced this period as one of the most difficult periods in his life, heavier than the period of his testicular cancer, and has experienced a depression himself (read our blog post here).
